TDF100 first day riding in the Alps

Morning being tourists in Lyon.  Breakfast with CSN in the hotel, 

We crossed the bridge over the Saone to the 18th century city

Another pretty church - well I liked the organ :-)

Then at lunch time we met up with our group by the airport.  Yay we met up with our buddy Lance and his girlfriend Cathy!  

 

Long  but beautiful ride to Albertville.  Wow it was so great to see Bertrand and Rodolfe again.  Bertrand loved the Halters Cap that we brought him!

I guess the guys liked the WTF socks we bought them!

So we went on a short rolling ride to stretch our legs - the mountains on either side are huge!  It was fun and great to be on the bike

Dinner was all about getting to know our new ride buddies

And then of course after dinner was even even better

Ok so tomorrow we are doing a 100k ride which will include the Col de la Madeleine - a 20 k HC climb.
